Poem: Beauty

Somebody told her
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
And she replied,
"But beauty is beyond the eyes...
It is in the essence of every sense
In the vastness of the mind
And in the ever-changing sky
The mysteries of the sea
Beauty is much more than what you see
Because, even when my eyes are closed.
There is beauty in my dreams!
Behold, true beauty is emotion,
The whole of life,
A way of being."
